Herbana Owner and Staff Bring International Flair to Clear Lake -- Mar 28, 2006 - Houston, TX Herbana Natural Concepts Spa owner, Sandra Krasa, is no stranger to exotic locales and ideas. She specializes in international themes, designs, and productions. Sandra started her international career as a student ambassador to France when she was 15 years old. She became fluent in French at a young age and later fluent in German, and she knew she had the travel bug! "After my experience in France and a short trip to London as a teen; I knew that the 'world' was my home," says Krasa. At age 20, she moved to Europe and worked as a tour guide while putting herself through college. The tour guide training and an internship with the Armed Forces Network led to a gig as a travel show host and producer. Sandra combined two of the many things she loved... travel and television! In 1998, she returned to the States and opened Paddy Cassidy's Irish Pub in Cocoa Beach, Florida, a successful theme bar that is still popular. "I decided to go to graduate school in 2000, and I almost went back to Paris for a Master's degree in French, but at the same time I was accepted to UF for a degree in International Communications. What I ended up with was a specilization in Documentary Filmmaking and the HBO award for best short documentary in 2002, so I guess it worked out!" Today, Krasa is the International Production Manager and a director for Houston based Anime and Sci-Fi powerhouse ADV Films. "When I created Herbana, it was just like my other adventures, I wanted to share the beauty of the world with people from my community. I also had been around enough and in the beauty industry enough (did we mention she is also a former model!) to know that over time, nature is really what works best for us. There are all kinds of chemical fads coming and going, but the original spas used earth elements and spiritual wisdom to bring beauty and well being."
